Nottingham and back...
So I just got back from my mini vacation to Nottingham, and what a two day break it was. Cram packed from the word go, and hasn’t calmed down till this very minute that I sit here and type this quick thoughts dump. First off Nottingham Uni has changed a great deal.

Off the top of my head, the area behind the Union has completely been blown up and a new spanking bookshop has been errected, further work continues in the area right behind that as the Union shop has also been eradicated, that entire area will look completely different pretty soon I'm sure. There is a brand new building that links the old campus with the QMC. This thing has got water fountains and all sorts.

There probably are other things going on as well that I didn't get to see since it was a brief drive through, but Nottingham city proper has also had a major lift change as well. The nicest thing I can say about it is the new tram system. NET as it's called. Absolutely lovely. Looks amazing and has got this amazing sound to it, rather than the harshness of a bus. Go to this link to have a 360 view of what it looks like on the inside, here . And for a better look at this system check the official website, here. I'm going to add that this is also a terrific website, in that it's got loads and loads of information and they've really made it stand out as something special. I'm not talking about the asthetic design here, just the sheer amound of information available and it's all clear, which basically shows how well designed it actually is.
I can't wait for these trams to be used in the major cities of the world to be honest.
I know Athens 2004 will have them supposedly, whether or not this is the case is a completely unknown fact.
